Parvata Yoga in Astrology
Parvata yoga is one of the auspicious yoga. It can occur in two ways:
- Benefic planets occupy the Kendra (1st, 4th, 7th or 10th houses) and the sixth and eighth houses are occupied by benefics or they can be vacant..
- The lord of the lagna (ascendant) and that of the twelfth house are in mutual kendras and also aspected by benefics.
Parvata yoga is not a common yoga in astrology. When the above conditions meet completely, then yoga is said to be strongest parvata yoga. Results of the yoga are modified when there will be some changes to the parameters. When malefic planets occupy the kendra and also influences benefic planets, then the results will be modified, but will not be cancelled completely.
Some authors are of the view that, Parvata yoga can also be formed based on the Indu lagna. In this case, the results will be more related to wealth and finance matters. But results will be more visible through lagna.
The meaning of Parvata is ‘big mountain’. The native with Parvata Yoga also lives life king size. He will be helpful to others, He will be fortunate, wealthy, renowned, orator, he will be passionate, will become head of a town or village, or will have a respectable job
